chirping sound from passenger rear when turning hard right. everything is new.
So I have a brand New wavetrac differential, superior chromoly axles, all new bearings and races in the entire rear.
The chirping sound is generally the brakes whacking the rotor.
The brake pads, rotors and all hardware were replaced recently.
The wavetrac was defective and this was installed today.
This chirping sounds only happens when turning the wheel to the left. It occasionionally continue for a little bit going straight.
So after i heard this I checkef to make sure the dust shiled wasnt hitting, the caliper wasnt frozen, relived thr brakes, tabs, etc. Regressed every suspension piece in the rear. Took 6 hours but I needed to eliminate any stupid problems.
Everything in the rear is brand New.
It does not happen over bumps or just driving straight.
I haven't been able to drive my car for 2 months because of this wavetrac issue.
C-clips were too skinny. The axles were moving in the diff about 1/8 inch. Then the diff blew probably because the axles were slapping around.
Never hooked up the tires with the car with the new axles and diff either.
I can't imagine its a bent axle cause it only happens on left turns and if I ride the brake it still happens
Any ideas?
