Default 2008 GT, Need advise

I have a 2008 GT automatic. I made the mistake of buy the automatic and I want a manual.. Should I sway the auto to manual, or just get a entire different car?

In the end you'd be better off waiting and the next car you buy make it a manual but if you plan on keeping the one you have now for quiet some time 6+ years then it might be worth the swap but I hope you realise that there will be a lot of work that needs to be done and lots of $$$

First off welcome aboard! Secondly I would just tune it & forget about it. A lot of the custom tunes really bring the automatic to where it should be. I had custom tunes on an F150 and the trans shifting was day and night. Next time just pull the trigger on a manual.

If you plan on racing it, at the track of course, just laugh at the guy in his manual when he misses 3rd gear. I wouldn't worry about it now dude. Just enjoy it.

I am in the same situation. Bought my cousin's automatic three years ago because of the excellent condition, color (red), and great price. Now I drive with my hand on the shifter, hoping it will turn in to a manual and grow a clutch pedal. I would not change the tranny. If you want a manual, buy one. If not, just manually shift and move your left leg.

Manual or automatic, with a good quality custom tune, you will see a HUGE difference in the overall driveability ot your car. Good luck & keep us posted on what all you do.

Go to the American Muscle (AM) and Brenspeed websites and research their CAI & tune combos. Either of their combos will add about 20-25 RWHP and improves shift points, throttle response and overall driveability. They both write excellent tunes.
