Default Last Friday Night street/Grudge racing of season

This was last street racing on friday night at Cecil County. Ran my 2013 Automatic with Roush axle backs and a drop in K&N filter to a best of 12.39@113.69. It cut a 1.889 60' time. Very impressed with these new coyote motors. Ran fox body back in the day and would have to use tires and Nitrous to get close to the mid to low 12's. Technology is great!

Yeh I would like to scan it and will but I am at work and was bored so I thought I would just shout out because I was pretty happy with it's performance. Did meet another gentlemen that was racing his 2013 and told me this little trick of removing the fuse for the advancetrac/anti-lock break that let me do a better burnout and improved my short time from 1.95 to the 1.88. I had been running 12.54 until that last run with the fusse pulled. Don't know if anyone else has tried this but it seem to help. Car struggled to powerstand even with trac turned off but with fuse pulled lit em' up easy.

You had trouble power braking with traction control off before pulling fuse? Weird.

The power stand issue from the way he explained (guy i met at the track with an 2013 auto) it was that even though the trac was off the anti lock brakes still come into play. He actually took his stang back to dealer with the issue (cool dealership) and they finally unhooked the abs and it was fine. He then found a easier way to disconnect the abs through the fuse. I am racing on stock 18" p-zero pirellis. They work well on the track surface but just do ok on street.

Great times for stock tires and basically a stock car. Good fun.

Great times and 60's. Can't get mine to hook for crap on the track with the pirellis. Best 60' I can manage is a 2.0 Still kinda confused on the brake stand though, if I hold the brake and just barely give it gas, my rear tires go up in smoke.

What your mods? Not calling bs on these times just really curious. You went from 13.01a110 and 2.0 60' to a 12.39@113 with a 1.88 60'? So, you picked up almost 7 tenths from an axle back. If you are using the sport mode while trying to powerbrake, that would explain the difficulty in breaking the tires loose. Again, not trying to be a dick, but 12.39 with stock tires on a 1.88 60' is pretty unbelievable.

Please enlighten me. Thank you

I was also surprised of the cars performance. I would not bs on times because I take them seriously. I will scan the time-slip in this week. The first time I raced the car it was stock with about 450 miles on it and cut a 2.01 short time. The weather was in the mid 60's with the humidity around 75%. This time the car has 1750 miles roughly, a k&n drop in filter and roush cat backs. The first pass down netted a 12.54 on a 1.9 short time. I was surprised with this. Ran one more 12.50 pass let car sit pulled the fuse and raced the guy who told me about the fuse. I spun into second due to what my friend said was a wet spot on the starting line. Car went 13.50 on a 2.35 short time. Went right back into the lane with the same guy. His car is stock right down to the mufflers that is when I ran a 12.39 @ 113.69 and he went 12.34 @ 114. I am not sure why but I have the time slips and can scan them in just most of the time I post is at work and I work 12 hour shifts. I am off Thursday and Friday and will get the time-slips scanned. Believe it or not I know it is real.
