I received a JLT yesterday for my '06 and realized it was for drivers side.

Is there one for the passenger side? or is it not needed so much on that side?

On your '06 you need the one you've got. The breather system changed on the 5.0. On your 4.6, the oil vapors come out of the drivers side valve/cam cover and into the intake. Fresh air on the passenger side.

I put mine on at 500+ miles, just dumped the factory oil for Pennzoil Ultra Synthetic. (ferrari recommends Ultra).

Checked catch can, it had a residue from the 200 miles of use. Best investment I have made. I use the JLT because of its awesome plug and play set up.

LOL... well, the whole thing changed with Ultra for $100 out the door, plus a nice free FULL SERVICE wash too.

Dealer for Ford Synthetic, $150
Amsoil $150 just for the frickin' oil.
Royal Purple, $100+ just for oil.

Pennzoil has a good reputation and it hasn't let me down before.

Default Pennzoil Ultra

I use Ultra in my '06 GT as well as wifey's '08 Miata GT. I'm convinced it's the best going.

I look at it like this, I will make sure my car has all of it's required maintenance, using Synthetics. But it wouldn't be the oil that screws up the car, it will be ME.

I treat it like a red headed stepchild.
