Default Instrument Cluster Stepper Motors…are 2008-09 different from 2005-07?

My 2009 GT has a couple of noisy stepper motors in the gauge cluster that I'd like to replace. All the ad's I see for replacement motors specify they are for 2005 through 2007. I've contacted a couple of the shops selling them, but they really are not able to offer much information. My car is long past warranty, and I'd like to replace the motors instead of a new cluster. Apparently there were some problems with the motors in 2005-06 S197's, and updated ones are included in the motor kits that are advertised, but again they specify that they only fit 2005 - 2007 clusters. Anyone know if there is something different about 08-09 clusters?

Old ads.
They were written in 2007 before
the 2008-2009 models were available...
See it all the time.

Links to these 'ads' and "kits" please...

Here is one of the links from ebay:

To be honest, your reply sounds lame. Do you know for sure that the motors are compatabie, or are you just guessing that the ad's from current instrument panel shops are all over 5 years old?

There's a nice summary of the details/parts over on AFM in a similarly-titled thread.

Thanks John...that was my thread also. I had posted on both sites. The reply I got was very detailed and included a description of the stepper motor versions. Here is a link if anyone is interested.

Really lame.
The model compatible selector on the auction does not show
it to be compatible with 2008-present stangs.
Sorry Charlie.
