When I turn the ignition to the on position, I usually get a short duration soft grinding noise that sounds as if something is "pressurizing" or a servo motor is turning. It stops after a couple of seconds, and then I just turn the engine on. This morning I turn the key on and that normal little grinding noise is suddenly combined with five or six knocking sounds, and they are pretty loud. This is my first winter with the car, and it was a little cooler than normal (65°). I had the defroster on last night for a few minutes, I don't know if that makes a difference or not. I ran a vehicle health report and checked all the fluids and everything else that I could visually and everything seems normal. This noise seems to come from directly behind the heater/air conditioner controls. Anybody else experienced anything like this?

Could be the actuators about to get mine fixed get a loud ticking/clicking noise in the cabin.
