After installing the pipes long tubes and cats I am unable to pass my emissions test. It says the sensors and cats are incomplete. I am using my same tune from brenspeed that I used before the long tube install that has the cats turned on. I passed with this same tune last time. Brenspeed told me when I did the install that I would not need a new tune. Either way, why is everything showing showing incomplete when the same tune worked last time?

I'm going to SWAG this and say that given your listed mods (these in particular:Pypes O/R H-pipe, Pypes L/T Headers), that you have eliminated your cats, which would mean you would need the cats turned off in your tune or a new tune. It's showing "incomplete" because it's trying to read something that isn't there...

You are in a county that requires a sniff test. That sucks that your county is designated by the state as Non-Attainment which means it failed Fed EPA standards of air quality.

For your emissions test, which part are you failing? The visual? The OBD plug-in? Or the actual sniff test when they measure your exhaust gases at the tailpipe?
From what I understand, if they look under your car and you don't have cats, they fail you and don't even bother to do the OBD or the sniff test.
If you have your cats, refer the the post above m

I know a guy who got around the sniff tests by having his car registered at his friends house outside the sniff zone. Smart!

FWIW.

Maybe you need to add some HF cats. I would call brenspeed and explain your issue and see what they say. Your tune is fine for driving the car, its not fine for inspectors but the cats are not there. Explain that to brenspeed.

Brenspeed should be able to correct the tune. I agree with 808.

Well its been resolved. First had to replace the header bolts which was causing a leek triggering the codes. Of. Cpurse Bama had gave me an updated tune since they had turned off something. All is well now. Car not running as well as I'd like and I will eventually get a dyno tune to get it to run perfectly. Thanks guys.
