Default What the heck is this?

Ok, probably a stupid question, but what is this? It is located under the rear seat of my 2013 GT, one on each side.

Thanks. Got in a discussion with someone else about it too, they said spring pockets, I didn't think so, posted, well to be honest I was being lazy and not looking, but with there comments I went and looked deeper, and yeah, discovered what you told me. Thanks.

Well, since I was being lazy at first and not looking myself, I didn't want to say much along the lines of, "ummm if its the spring pockets, wouldn't they be be indented up, not down on the inside, and wtf are the wires doing going to the springs?" lol

Actually, I do not smell any gas fumes when close.

NO dead hooker, not that anyone can see or prove....

Not surprising actually. My memories of that area are spending 45 min trying to get a GT500 hat in there. Boy was that tricky.

Therefore the smell of gas also is in that memory, a lot!
