I wouldn't trust a canned tune, PERIOD! They're great for getting to the dyno, but if you want the most power, reliably, put it on a dyno. When I Procharged my 04 GT, the company I bought the kit from guaranteed a minimum of a 50% increase in HP and TQ. Their "max-power" tune (one of three sent with the kit) made 172 whp and 200 ftlbs. A 9:1 AFR, shooting gas out of the tail pipes on a Dyno Dynamics dyno at Static X Motorsports. That's a hell of a max-power tune!

I took it to Bama Chips when Doug still owned it (took it to his house) and he got me 400 at the wheels on both HP and TQ with timing set at 19* and a steady AFR of 12:1.

Nothing can substitute for a dyno when it comes to datalogging, tuning, and efficiently getting all that you can reliably out of a car.

thanks guy for all the info. Installing the SC myself is out of the question. With My luck I know Im going to break something, I just know lol.

I did contact AED and they quoted me $1500. Im assuming that's for the tune aswell. They also told me that the M90 sucks yadda yadda yadda. I just want to be around 420 -430 rwhp. I cant see my self buying the TVS and getting all that extra hp but my engine going pooof!.

To get 430rwhp out of the M90 you're going to be spinning it hard and making alot of heat.

I agree. You're better off getting the more efficient blower and running less boost.

OP you will need all the supporting mods to get that number.....ie CAI, custom tune, cams, headers and possibly a smaller pulley with the fuel upgrades.

I'll be flying into Sacramento every two weeks for a while and can stop by and get it done with you. Just grab all the tools.

lol thanks 808muscle it was because of you I pulled the trigger to buy the SC

clowe1965 the only tools I have are just a bunch of screw drivers and a few ratchets. I do appreciate the help when you're in Sacramento .

You'll need a soldering iron (get the butane one and a refill kit, it will work for the heat shrink), sawzall, file, torque wrench, wire stippers, drill and drill bits, torx bit set, buckets for coolant, a complete socket set, razor blades, and a good place to work on this. If you don't have any of those tools buying them is probably for the best. You will use a torque wrench all the time on these cars and power tools can be used for around the house projects. Either way you'll still be below the installation cost. If you haven't already read the installation instructions. The most difficult parts to me are the electrical harness work and getting all the air out of the coolant system. Everything else is straight forward enough.

The problem Im having is that there aren't that many shops near me (Sacramento)

But Im not too thrilled of me driving to Southern Cal to get a good shop to install the kit.
You would be better off going to AED. Better tuners, better shop and closer. The price they quoted is high for me. Like everyone else has said, it's got a difficult install. I did my KB install in a weekend.
