It will definitely free up some ponies!

With the right tires & launch and only worrying about stomping on the GO pedal, it's a high 12 sec car

My 06 GT auto ran 13.46 with CAI and brenspeed tune. It was a half second slower when stock. 4.10s and headers got me down to 13.2s and cams got me into the teens. With good air and properly prepped track you could see high 12s. With a stall and DRs you into the 12s easy.

For DD the auto with a tune and 4.10s is just a blast to drive. You will love it. I race my car all the time, this trans will last if you dont beat on it in the wrong way. I have 250+ runs down the 1320.

Yea I have heard the auto with those mods is a beast haha, that's why I am leaning towards it over the 5sp. How ever though if I find a nice manual I might pick it up.

You gotta drive it like you stole it for sure in a manual. It's easy to race a auto down the track, it shifts at peak hp every time. A manual, you gotta do it. It's very fun but you gotta hit every shift perfect.
