Flowmasters...everyone runs them. Go to Americanmuscle and check out their Bassani videos.

I always liked the way flowmasters sounded. Still do. However, I had a set of American Thunders on my car from '06 to '11. They rotted out on the inside, BAD. I will never buy them again.

As stated, what most want to hear is 'better' or 'worse' is really opinion. I've used nothing bu Flows for over twenty years now, and wouldn't go back to glasspacks (Magnaflow, Borla, Dynomax, Gibson, Cherry Bomb, etc. etc.) on a bet. I have never had anything except same/better performance and much better sound with Flows, and except for doing silly things- like putting their two chambers on cars to make 'em loud, have not had 'drone' problems. I've been lucky to have had their American Thunder, Force II and Pro axle-backs on my 2011, and really like 'em all, although the Pros are my favorite on the 5.0.
In general, don't worry about anything except your sound preference. Even the glasspacks are better (performance) than the OE exhaust. Go with the sound you like, and you're all set.

You will likely get some drone with the Flowmasters. Just about every vehicle I've ever heard them on has had drone issues. I love the sound of them, but the drone can get old.
I just purchased Pypes Violators and will be putting them on tonight.
If budget isn't an issue, go with the Borla or the FRPP "stingers".

I have Flowmaster outlaws with the resonators deleted on my 2012 5.0
it sounds like a beast. I went from stock to the outlaws but didn't like the 2000rpm drone so I changed to the Ford Racing gt500 which have an excellent note but not quite loud enough so I deleted the resonators which made them a bit louder... but nothing close to the outlaws...
I will deal with a little drone any day to know that people will dive for cover when I drive by

I am going to be ditching my dynomax setup for flowmasters down the road. Flowmasters seem to have better fitment than the dynomax and sound better.

I have Pypes Bomb and am very happy with it. Nice idle, pretty quiet when cruising, but step on it and its pretty loud.

Just a quick note here regarding exhaust systems; I'm from central MN and have purchased from "Heartthrob" in Litchfield, MN They are a family owned and operated business with incredible experience...they have been featured on the Speed Channel's "Gearz" program a few times. Here is their contact info, you won't be disappointed (I have NO affiliation with them whatsoever other than a very satisfied customer):
