New car!!!!
Hey everyone I got a new stang 2008 vapor silver gt love it!
Do have a quick question.
I just put a off road x and pypes mid muffler on it ..and it seems like if I didn't wind out my rpms I would never hear it... Once I get to 2500 then I roars but if I shift at 2k rpms it would be really quiet it's a night and day difference.
And when I am in 1rst going in to second i feel a lag time like a hesitation what's up with that?
But anyway if I shifted under 2500 rpms my car would be silent no joke...but once I hit 2500 plus it roars...need help please advise.
Thanks

Congrats on the new purchase.
On some exhaust setups it will be fairly quiet up until a certain RPM. 2500 seems to be that number for you. on mine its around 2000 rpms but i have gears installed also.
Not sure about the lag, I am assuming you have a stick? If that is the case you can shift at a higher RPM and hear the exhaust everytime if you wanted. Also when you notice the lag is in under 2500 or where are you shifting?

Thanks man!!! And yes it's stick. It's weird it does the lag thing under 2500 it's like it goes like normal then hesitates then jumps for a millisecond then goes back to normal it did this before my exhaust . I just wish the quietness wasn't the ..like on my bullitt 01 claiming all the way no mater the rpm you could hear it I'm not sure why this one is quiet until it hit 2500 then it immediately gets loud at 2500

You might want to check if the car has been modded as in it has CMCV (Charge Motion Control Valve) deletes.
These are valves that are intended for emissions stuff but can be removed. The car needs a tune after you remove them some people mention that they feel a difference in the car under 2000 to 2500 RPM and above that.
I don't know if the car throws a code if these were removed and the engine was not retuned.

The charge motion control valves are probably what you are experiencing. It should be louder without them.
You really shouldn't have an off-road pipe without a tune. It will eventually throw a code. Removing the cmcv's will definitely throw a code without a tune installed.
