They're a two piece. I believe Motorcraft plugs are made by Autolite and I use Autolite plugs in my car without any problems.

Yes Champions are one piece. I installed them in my car and have never had an issue.

If you follow the TSB, you should be fine too. I wouldn't pay someone to do something you can do yourself.

The process is not hard as long as you are careful. Make sure you do it on a warm engine and use PB blaster. Be carful not to use too much because it can hydro lock your engine! Do not apply too much pressure anything over 35 ft/lb will snap them according to the tsb. And if you break a few, no worries! Lisle makes a life saving tool for this and you can either buy one for $80 bucks or borrow it from this guy on the s197forum. http://s197forum.com/forum/showthrea...ighlight=Lisle
All you have to do is pay shipping costs to and from him which is a bargain compared to the price of the tool. I'd borrow it from him first and have it as insurance just in case. I have done this two times on two separate 06/07 engines first on 6 out of 8 broke off and the second one they all came out without breaking. If you have any trouble or any other questions feel free to pm me!

Also the problem isn't the two piece plug design as much as it is the head design. As long as you apply a generous amount of anti sieze nickel to the tip of the plug this will not happen again. The main issue was that ford didn't use enough from the factory and the tips of the plugs tend to sieze to the head. Auto lite makes the ford plugs. Their version is exactly the same two piece design just with their name on it. I replaced mine with motorcraft plugs and have taken them out after 20k miles with no issue.
