Default Steeda CAI and Steeda 93 tune for '12 5.0

Ordered this from Steeda yesterday, looking for info about your experiences and anything I should look out for. Thanks.

Only surprise for me was the difficulty getting the rubber weather stripping stuff to stay in place. I ended up using an adhesive meant for weather stripping that I found at Napa. I'd recommend that you go ahead and get that before you start. The rest is pretty straight forward.

Good that's what I was hoping for. I traded in a 06 gt for the '12 and was satisfied with the power the car came with and it just sorta became the norm after a while. Ready for more power!

As far as the rubber thingy that goes around the top I probably wont even use it. I have a aftermarket hood and it probably wont do me mush good as far as sealing up.

If you need help with anything ... don't hesitate to contact us at 1-800-950-0774 or you can email me at tim@steeda.com.

The only thing you have to be careful of is the right foot .

What TJ said. You are going to be really surprised at what a little tweaking will do. You are not going see 75 RWHP, but you are going to see a huge improvement I throttle response, and a strong, hard flat power band. Glad to see another fellow Alabama member on the forums.

On the 5.0, a good CAI & tune will gain about 35 RWHP, give or take a few. I'm gettin' a woody just thinkin' about it...

The torque gains are even more impressive, even at low end IMHO.

+1

I tend to only discuss RWHP since torque gains can vary significantly as compared to HP but overall, yes, torque gains are typically as good if not more impressive with a good tune.
