Default new CAI sound?

So I just got a tuner and a new jtl performance CAI and installed everything this afternoon. I never had an aftermarket CAI before but boy what a difference! The only thing throwing me off is that now when I shift and accelerate I hear this sounds for a second and a half that sounds something like a shot of gas or compressed air, or like letting air out of a balloon. It's this from the intake sucking air into the engine? I've never heard this before and the only reason I question it is because it's not constant. If I accelerate I hear the sound for about a second and a half, then it stops even if I'm still accelerating.

Under hard acceleration, you will hear air being sucked in for a split second

Yes this is normal.. It threw me off as well on the first few days.. Almost sounds like a blowoff valve from a turbocharged car when you let off the throttle after hard acceleration.. And the intake sounds like old school glass pack exhaust coming from under the hood. However I'm so used to it now I don't hear it much anymore lol. But I remember these reactions after install

Ok just making sure, I might remove the sound tube and cap off the hole in the firewall with the provided plug. Im sure I can get used to if but as of now the sound is kind of annoying.

It is normal I just got the Steeda intake and tune and when you first hit the accelerator it almost sounds like a damn jet taking off.

Mine does it too. Just the engine taking in a big gulp of fresh air!

First time I floored it after installing the m90 supercharger, the whine was so loud it caught me of guard and I let off the gas. I then laughed at myself.

I'm noticing with my new C&L CAI that I hear a very soft, barely audible high pitched tone for a second or two when acclerating and sometimes as my gears are shifting. Is this coming from the sound tube off of the new cold air intake?

Pretty sure thats the same thing i'm hearing. My JLT came with a plug and a cap for the firewall and the sound tube outlet if you wanted to take the sound tube out. I was thinking about it but after a week i'm already used to the sound.
