Default Supercharger?

Hey guys I am looking at an 2006 mustang gt with low miles. I also found a complete supercharger setup off of a 2010 cobra. My question is, other than a tune, would this bolt directly up to it with no other mods? I can get the supercharger set up for 3k. Is that a good deal?

NO!!! It doesn't directly bolt up!! You need a custom manifold. Department of boost makes a swap manifold for $1,500 and you can get most of the other parts from Shelby from take offs they convert to Super Snakes possibly less then 3K and virtually brand new however even with swap manifold there is a long list of custom things that need to be made. Dept of boost sent me a list and it requires a lot of time to aquire parts and custom make. If you're looking for a good SC kit but can't afford an FRPP kit perhaps look into Edelbrock and call it a day.

Roush intake?? I'm not sure Roush made an intake to fit 4.6L. The 5.4L and 4.6L have have different widths, intake manifolds do not swap they are size specific.

Very happy. It is kind of a sleeper mod - scores of people have asked me where I got the edelbrock intake manifold, not realizing there is a 2.3L TVS hiding underneath. It is also very user friendly to install. Look at Brenspeed.com - they sell them (and Roush's, etc. too) and have killer tunes for them all. They are not that far from you in Illinois at all.
