Talking Can't sleep, pulling the trigger on my "new" GT next week.

It's been a LONG time comin'. I had an '07 GT that I sold a few years ago when I decided to change careers and had to adjust my finances for a short while.

Well, I'm finally in position again to get back into a Mustang.

I found a sweet deal on a black, 2012, GTCS. I'm about 99% sure I'll be picking it up Monday (or at the very least, sometime next week).

I'm going to try to hold off on mods, but eventually I'll do the usual CAI and tune, some axle-backs, maybe a subtle appearance mod or two, and maybe later, a rim & tire package.

One appearance mod I definitely want to do, is the Saleen style grill with the "5.0/Coyote V8" badge.

Anyway, it's great to be back to share and learn with all the wonderful folks in this forum again.

You'll love the 5.0 over your old 4.6 but you may have a hard time finding the Saleen grill, I think they are out of production.

2013/14 are the last of the run and Ford new it. I see 2010,11 and 12 as test beds where things got tested and ironed-out, #8 piston, MT-82 problems, PCM software problems and skip shifts.

See what 2013 or 14 are around then when the 2015 comes out the dealers might be kinder.

later

It took me a while, but I did find one (didn't order it yet). But actually, the stock CS grill has really started to grow on me. Not sure if will go down that road now.

Brenspeed and (I think) LMR have the Saleen grilles back in stock. The CS grille is nice in it's self, especially the '12. I'm not too fond of my '11 grille since it's polished and it's the only polished thing on the car except the rear emblem. In '12 they made the CS grilles black, much better.

If you can get the car, you won't be disappointed as long as the price difference between the '12 and '13/'14's in your area is enough to make that decision easy.

Thanks for the info. Yes, I too prefer the black grille. I'm heading down to pick it up tomorrow and I CANNOT WAIT. I'm getting a pretty good deal on it. It is like brand spankin' new and just rolled 10K miles. I've been pricing them for quite some time now, so when I saw this one, I jumped on it.
