Mine still seems to be fine and we are running upper 80's and nasty humidity here in Delaware. The biggest reason your adhesives didn't work is because the foam they adhere to has deteriorated. For this reason, it is important to spray a good layer on both sides and then let sit a few minutes until it becomes tacky. I then sprayed another thinner layer, let sit for a minute, and then went to work.

If this holds 3 years, that'll be good enough for me as I hope to redo the entire interior in the future.
