Questions about S197 quality.
#21
I have about 47K on my daily driven 2007 GT. I love my drive to and from work everyday, I just hate the relatively poor MPG, but that's a sacrifice most of us are willing to accept to drive a V8 mustang.
I have had lots of fun with my S197 and no major mechanical issues to speak of. The only things I have done is basic maintenance and some aftermarket upgrades.
When things go bad for mustangs, parts are relatively cheap so I just upgrade as things are about to go bad or if I find good used deals
I'd buy it again 7/10 times

Only 47k on a 6 y/o DD? Even my '07 that only gets driven about every 2-4 weeks has almost 40k miles.
How can you complain about 24-26 MPG highway and 20-22 MPG 50/50 on a V8???

I have an '08 and overall the quality is good.
Zero mechanical problems.
Zero electrical problems.
No squeaks or rattles.
Interior trunk light housing popped out.
Shaker 500 CD Changer got jammed while changing discs.
That's it.
