Default BAD*SS mustang build

Alright guys. I haven't posted for months. The 4.6 in my 2009 gt blew up while I was racing it. My car is currently at JPC racing getting a built boss 322 block with a Paxton novi 2200. They are building the car to withstand over 1000 rwhp. They are doing all of the supporting mods as well. The car should be finished by the end of the month so I'll get a video up when it's done. We are going to run a conservative street tune of 750 rwhp.
I'll keep you guys updated as its month three for the build and everything is coming together.

Any details on why it blew? What went wrong and was the bama tune on it when it blew? What did they say about it?

Novi is a good choice for that HP level and drivability from what ive read. New setup sounds awesome. Did you mean a built boss 302 block?

Also, how did you make the 295 40 20's fit? those seem like they would be huge 29.3 inch tall tires..

We believe the oil pump blew and starved the motor of oil causing a bad rod knock.

And no, it's a 322 cubic inch boss block according to JPC. It is being built to hold over 1500 hp.
The 295/40r20s fit with the stock rear springs. I didn't have to do anything to fit them and they fill the wheel well nice and give me good clearance for the side exhaust.

Did you go with some type of aftermarket oil pump or was everything included with the new engine setup? Heres some billet oil pump gears if you need http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...ustang-gt.html

The front tires are 255/40r20. Yes. The sig pic is with the tires. I'll post a picture later if I can dig one up. The bama tune was on the car when it blew...

JPC is putting an aftermarket oil pump in. I'm not sure what brand... Everything is being built to support the 1500 potential horsepower.
