I think I'm gonna go with Performance 89
Performance because its faster than street but not crazy like race for DD, and 89 octane because not all gas stations around here have premium fuel so I can be covered with 89 as well as get more power than 87 and it only costs a bit more than 87. I might get 91 though and go for gas stations that do have premium, I like 91 because incase they don't have 93, I'll still be covered.

All my Bama tunes are 93 octane. 91-93 all cost roughly the same here where I live so I just spring for 93. I run mostly, if not all the time, 93 race for DD. I sometimes run 93 street but, barely 93 perf because, for me, I don't usually have anywhere to run fast enough to feel the benefits of the perf. tune. I can live with the race tunes aggressiveness.

I know that a lot of people like to say surprising things to sound cool, but on a practical scale is the race tune drivable for DD? I was reading other reviews of people saying it makes you spin the tires frequently and stuff.

I don't know how much of a drivability difference it would make between the 4.6 and the 5.0 but it drives, under normal accelerations, not much different than stock. There's more throttle response so the car will jump more with little throttle imput but easily controllable. I don't spin my tires unless I get on it but that's expected. Fuel mileage for me with 93 race is still over 19 mpg, and that's calculating it the proper way. I'd say get lower octane tunes for your street and perf and get the highest octane you can get for your race tune. You might kick yourself in the *** if you don't. Oh, and if yours is a manual it still pulls out from a dead stop with relative ease.

That race tune doesn't make the car unreliable on the street. It's a CAI and tune. U will be fine. It's like anything u will have to get use to it and be mindfull of what your car can do

I always recommend running 93 Octane but if it's not available in your location there's nothing wrong with running a 91 or 89 Octane fuel.
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future. Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. yeah mine is an automatic, been reading more threads and stuff and it seems like people say that the race tun is epic where as the street and performance tune are not much noticeable difference.
So you guys are saying even though the race tune is really aggressive , its not hard on the engine or transmission?

Nope. U will be fine. The most important part of ownership and modding is that check fluids on a regular basis should be done every week. Replacing fluid like tranny oil when u hit 50k should be done. I know the manual says differently. Basically if you treat your car like your mom and not like some hooker off the street corner you should be fine. Unless your mother is that woman on the corner then **** it your done
