over painting with enamel before the installation is a good suggestion and by the way, it is going to lessen the concerns of the cleanliness of your wheels and you will not be restricted by any weather road conditions

Honestly, you could probably take some steel wool to that to see if that is just surface oxidation. If it is, take the braces off, and put a few coats of rustoleum on it, and bolt it back up. Unless it is rusted holes through the brace or it has rusted enough to change shape, you are probably fine.

^That's what I had hoped for, but after a second look, they both need to be replaced.^

This HAS to be wrong. I just stopped in my local Ford dealer. The parts guy said this brace is priced at over $500 each. Doing some more investigating.

Default Parts sticker shock!

After checking into it, evidently, these parts do run about $500 each. This is insane. They're just a piece of square steel tubing with a bend in one end and a couple of bolt holes in each end. I've even called some salvage yards but so far, no joy.
Anybody else run into this problem? I have attached a pic from the Ford parts manual. It is part 102B54. Look like a $500 part to you?

This is white lake ford (formerly Tousley). They usually have great deals on their OEM parts by comparison.

Have a custom shop fabricate some for you, shop around.
I guarantee you that it'll be cheaper than $500 a piece.
They're not complicated parts (square tubes basically) and they don't have to look exactly the same, they're basically straight.
Hell, a 1/4" flat piece of steel by 1.5" wide cut to length would do the trick I say.
File down the sharp edge for looks and voila.

This is a little better, $734 for the pair plus whatever shipping. Still Hiway robbery. I will keep it in mind though.

You could just get a pair of SFC from BMR for a fraction of the cost, since they replace the vert bars anyway.

Default Braces

I think I have come up with a good plan "B". BMR sub frame connectors. $260 and should be much better. Need to be welded in.
