Update: Lisle tool worked great! Although the pusher did break the metal loop at the tip of the plug even though it wasn't supposed to be able to.

I considered warming the car, but it is in tucked in for the winter and didn't want to have to get it "un-tucked".

I got some clear plastic tubing and used the shop-vac to suck out the cylinders. Then pulled the fuel pump relay and turned the car over to get anything else out. Haven't put in the plugs yet, but that should be uneventful! Thanks for the help guys!

if you can do it after the engine is warm. It is the safest way IMO. let the car run 5-10 mins the go ahead and swap out your plugs. crack them lose use a little penetrant or even a few drops of thin all purpose oil works great. I use the lite oil on a warm engine and have never snapped a plug or torn out the threads. On a newer engine.

I used Autolite...which I understand are the same as Motorcraft. I believe all plugs (that I know of) for our cars are pre-gaped.
