Default brand new 2014 GT Premium....crap

I got my new 14 GT yesterday. On my way home, my windshield got hit a small pebble causing a damage on my windshield. Not a good way to start a relationship.

Sorry to hear it, I know how you feel. I just had stripes put on my 05 and a bird craped on one of them etching the stripe the same day.

The damage is less than an inch at it's longest. Is it a safety issue if I just leave it as it is? Can it be repaired? Will water eventually get into it?

Call a windshield repair place. They have this resin they use to fix small cracks and chips. If done correctly you can't tell it was ever damaged. I don't think it is expensive either, some insurance companies even cover it without deductible. If you leave it it can get bigger and eventually crack the whole windshield. I'd get it taken care of ASAP.

I have 12" crack on the passenger side that goes from the edge in. It was fixed 3 years ago by a guy who guaranteed his work and said he could do up to 18" long depending on location.

Thanks guys. I just scheduled my car for next Saturday with Safe Lite. Cost to repair is $138.

Anybody has experience with work done by Safe Lite?

Sorry to hear about your windshield, same thing happened to me about a month after purchasing my 2013. Did you check with your insurance company on this, most will cover this under comprehensive and there be no charge and it won't effect your rates.
I've used Safe Lite 3 times in 10 years (once on the Mustang) and they always have done a great job for me.

Depending on your state and coverage, (Like Mr Nice Guy said) your insurance may pay for the repair. Have you called them about it?

I got a small crack right in the middle down low. Stupid rock flung up on the interstate by a truck! It's about the width of a fingernail. I thought insurance would only cover it if it's in your field of vision or over a certain length?
