usb drive not being recognized
#2
some things come to mind:
1) how is the drive formatted? It has to be FAT32; if it's 32 GB or larger it might have been formatted as NTFS or exFAT (or HFS if it was formatted on a Mac.)
2) SYNC Gen1 is a bit picky, it requires that music files have the tag data for Artist, Album, Title, Track #, and Genre filled in before it will index them.
3) make sure the files are actually mp3 files; even if they have the .mp3 extension they might be something different. SYNC Gen1 can play mp3, AAC (.m4a extension,) and Windows Media (.wma.) It can't play .wav files.

all Mustangs are still SYNC Gen1. check your mp3 files and make sure they have the tag info I posted above.
