Default MAF Voltage Readings

My '09 GT with 82k miles has a slight hesitation as I let out the clutch when starting out. Its enough of a hesitation that I often have to press the clutch back in and start off again. I gave the MAF sensor a good cleaning yesterday (did not look dirty) and the hesitation seems to be better. Thinking that I could have a lazy MAF sensor, I took a voltage reading at idle (pretty simple to just probe the wire). The Ford service manual says the MAF signal voltage at idle should be .88-.97 volts. Mine varies a little between .80 and .83 volts. It sometimes dips to .79. Has anyone else measured theirs, and if so do you remember the voltage at idle? Thinking that there could be variation in the volt meter, I tried a couple of them and both read the same. Is mine off enough to justify buying a new MAF sensor?

Change or clean the air filter? Have you cleaned the throttle body?

The voltage is a function of air moving across the sensor. Too little air will result in a lower voltage.
