Longtubes plus stock muffler choke HP?
#11
I noticed a little more really low end torque when using the stock axlebacks & bullitt axlebacks than with my Corsa's. Not much but enough that the butt dyno picked it up. This was before I turned up the boost.

When I just had boomtubes on otherwise stock car, they were the best sounding out there. when I went LT and O/R, sounded horrible.

I just switched out my Aerochambers for some Edelbrock SDT's (chambered muffler) I had sitting in my garage (got them for a steal a couple years ago) just to see how they sounded.
It's weird, the SDT's have a sweet burble at low RPM's and during deceleration that the Aerochambers didn't really have. But, they're quieter at WOT (Because aerochambers are straight through inside they SCREAM at WOT), and I've definitely noticed more drone with them than the Aerochambers. The SDT's are also more "bassy" at idle which I'm afraid my neighbors might not appreciate at 6:30 AM when I leave for work.
Now I have to decide which ones I want to actually keep on the car. Hmmm.
