Default Loss of brakes after ***** thumprs

My brake pedal feels very hard and I've lost most of my braking, the car will come to a stop but in double or triple the time it took before the cams were put on. What is the problem?

it will feel hard and not want to stop only sometimes when the car is actually driving, but from a idle to a stop, it does it EVERY time.

Bleed your brakes. Or take it in for a check at the dealership.

Sounds like you've lost some intake manifold vacuum to the brake booster due to the cams.

Yep, this. Cams have too much overlap and you've lost manifold vacuum. Or, the vacuum line to the brake booster is disconnected, kinked, or plugged.

Fwiw if the brakes needed to be bled, the pedal would be very soft or drop to the floor.

You have 10 inches of vacuum, i have the same cams with no brakes. I installed a "Hydraulic booster" like the 2000/2004 Mustangs have, end of problems with the brakes. Now i have better brakes than before i had the cams.

I have the ***** thumprs as well. As other users have stated, it's because of the vacuum drop due to the cams.

I did not install a booster, I just be sure to keep my rpms high enough while braking by rev matching and downshifting to keep enough vacuum pressure.

Okay loss of vacuum is the problem. So, what's the solution? Would a reservoir fix it? What other options do I have?

a reservoir can only draw down to the same amount of vacuum that the brake booster already sees (the booster has a check valve on it so it's already a bit of a reservoir) so that won't help. look to the way diesel engines do it; diesels have no throttle so they have no manifold vacuum at all. running power brakes means you need either an add-on vacuum pump, or convert over to a hydraulic brake booster (hydroboost) which is charged by the power steering pump.
