Default Need tire help! Will the 325 fit?

So I ordered racestar 15x10s for the back and 17x7s for the front. I want to go with a nitto 555r 325/50 for the back but I am not sure if they will fit on my car, since it is lowered 1.5 inches. I am afraid it might rub. Does anyone have any expertise on this matter?

I don't think those tires will fit on your wheel. On a 10inch wheel you can probably fit a 305 at most with it keeping the bead. The tire probably won't rub on the fender due to tire height, but like I said the tires won't fit on a 10 inch wheel.

Actually, that is the recommended wheel for the tire according to Nitto. I have heard of people putting these on but their cars weren't lowered. The only two sizes available for my wheel are the 275 and the 325. Would love to fit on the 325 but I gotta be sure it will fit before I pull the trigger.

To my understanding, with your drag wheels the 325 will fit the wheels. The overall size is going to be 29 inches, roughly 2 inches bigger than your current tires, so to make sure they fit before you buy them either find a friend with the same setup and test fit it, or you can make an educated guess by measuring the dimensions of your current wheel and see from there. a 325 is almost 13" wide, so depending on the offset you might be able to make it work. Also I am sure there are people on here with a lowered car they take drag racing so they should be able to help out. I don't have a lowered car, or slicks yet, but my ideas could help you figure it out.

Thanks for the info. I went out and measured and it looks like it would be realllly close. Unfortunately I don't know anyone with a set up like that. I am gonna go to Big O Tires tomorrow and see if they can help me out with the measuring and sizing.

Dont forget to take into account the squat when you launch, that could make the tires rub as well and it would suck to tear one up when you start a run to 112mph...
I know 26" tires are available so to make sure you might want to get those, also they won't bog the engine down as much.

I run the Nitto 555r 305x40x18 on some MT 18x10.5 rims. They fit easy on the rim and on the car. 325 is huge but I have read about guys that do run them. Its all in the offset. You should call whomever your buying them from and ask them about it.

Not sure if the 2011's are different, but I have heard that 325's can rub the bump stop plates on the subframe and maybe even the shocks when the car squats on launch.

Here are what 325/50-15's look like on 10" Racestars. My car is lowered on Steeda Sport Springs. I have removed the dump stop mount on the frame rails and moved the bump stop mounts on the diff to relocate the dump stop to under the frame rail. If you want pictures of these mods let me know.
