Default no ethanol gas

A gas station just opened near me that sells no ethanol gas (all others say up to 10%). Are there any advantages or disadvantages to using this? I ways use 93 octane and have a 2014 gt with track pack. Thanks for any feedback.

You'll get better gas mileage with no-ethanol.

yep, just better mpg. but depending on how you drive, it might take a while for you to notice the difference.

For a fuel injected engine, I don't think any advantages outweigh the additional cost of non-ethanol fuel. For older carb'd engines, its a different story. I use non-ethanol in all my motorcycles, lawnmowers, leaf blowers, etc.

+1 on the improved fuel mileage but in many cases, the extra mileage doesn't help you break even due to the cost difference between ethanol-laced and non-ethanol. I, too, use non-ethanol in my boat and all of my yard equipment. I've had to replace fuel lines on everything due to ethanol eating away at the lines. I will, when convenient, fill the Stang with ethanol-free but that's about 50% of the time or less and since my Stang isn't my DD, there's no $$ hardship.

yeah, I live near a lake so the marinas have ethanol-free gas. IIRC it's like $5-something a gallon. I only use it in my R/C boats because ethanol will wreck the carb diaphragms in short order.

Due to some dirty political arrangement my county, and the surrounding ones, do not sell ethanol free gasoline at gas stations. Lame.

At one time here in my county in Florida, ethanol free fuel was roughly 50-75 cents/gallon higher than ethanol-laced fuel. It's a tad higher now; about 80 cents to $1 more/gallon. There are numerous stations that sell it but I use a Pure station that sells 89 octane ethanol free because of it's convenience. I was recently informed that there's a Sunoco station closer that now sells it but I haven't confirmed it. There are a number of websites that will list locations and are updated by the public.

It bothers me that removing a 10% ethanol content adds up to $1/gallon to the cost of fuel. That is nonsense.
