Default How much difference will resonator deletes make?

I have a 2011 GT with off road X pipe and GT500 axle backs. I am considering deleting the resonators but am a little worried it might be too loud. I have found all sorts of stock vs GT500's videos. But, I have not been able to find a before and after that fits my situation.

Anyone have any first hand experience with removing the resonators on a GT that already has an off road X pipe? How big of a difference will it make? Any input would be appreciated.

I did find this video and I like the way it sounds.

Why are you wanting to remove them? They help refine the sound that comes out - not mute it.

I am trying to decide whether or not to remove them. I want it a little louder. But, if removing the resonators makes it crazy loud, then I don't want to do it.

From the way you've worded the question I personally think it will end up a little louder than you're looking for. The car in that video is fairly loud.

resonators aren't quite the same as mufflers. They're used if there is an objectionable sound (drone) at a particular frequency. They're used on most cars' intake ducts as well if there's a moan or similar sound:

those little boxes hanging off of the duct at the elbow are Helmholtz resonators.

in short, removing the resonators will probably not make your car any louder overall, but will probably make it drone (or drone worse.)
