I have code GG on door jamb sticker. I have replaced shifter and bracket with Barton short throw. No more grinding at all yay but it's still sluggish and throttle response sucks. Cat delete? 1-piece drive shaft? What do I do to make this thing more responsive. It's also why the window sticker had a -995 deduction on the "axle promo package" to sell these cars as no one wanted it with these gear ratios.
Still rly nice mustang but it's so sluggish on the start I hate it. 1-12/20mph for 1st gear?
I gotta power shift this car at high rpm's through gears 1-3.
What gear ratio would allow 1-30/40mph in 1st gear @ 2k-2.5k rpm's and at 2k rpm @ 70mph?

Yep, it is all stock. It is not tuned since I mainly run 87 octane, does a tune require premium fuel or depending on the tune?
The higher the gear, the smaller the range of each gear making your car faster, you will be shifting more frequently, also less MPG at highway speeds as you will be in the last gear at a highr RPM.
The tune can be customized to be 87, 91, 93 octanes. You will see the most performance gain in the 93 Octane tunes.
It's not the gears, it's the stock tune. I'm assuming you haven't tuned it yet?
The frpp tune certainly woke it up but the 3.90's made it real fun to drive. I may do 4.10s at some point although I do have a Whipple in the future somewhere. I think that may push back to my original 3.31 with the boost. We will see.....
