Default Looking for sync retrofit kit

Hi,

I just bought (last december) a 2012 Boss. I been looking on forums for details about retrofitting the cluster (from a 2013 Boss) and also for the sync thing.

I gather all the necessary stuff to perform the sync retrofit in my Boss 2012, I ended up having everything besides the harness from the kit itself. I just cannot convince myself to pay 300$ (the cheapest I found) for a new kit, just to put my hands on the harness. Snooping around on the web (new or used) did not rewards me with a kit or just the harness for a reasonable price.

Also for the ones who have the kit, could you, please, provide me the correct part number just for the harness itself, not the kit part number. I will try to shop around for the harness alone.

Thanks for your time reading my message.

Robert

PS: I already have two sync modules (2012 & 2013), the micrphone harness, rearview mirror with mic, USB cable and GT 500 steering with the correct switches. I am also looking for the cluster retrofit with track applications. Only missing the ABS module to go on for this one. And finally got a VCM II to update the modules.

What about a junk yard? I'm not aware of the ins and outs of the retrofit kit but would using a factory harness from a junked/wrecked vehicle work?

OEM harness means stripping almost the whole car interior, which I am not willing to do at this point. Thanks anyway for the suggestion.

Have you tried giving a few Ford dealers a call to do a price check?

There's a few of them that have parts websites where you can score some good deals.
