2013 Auto Gear swap?
Hey guys I have a 13 Auto with 3.15's and 245/45/19's and I am thinking about swapping to 3.55's and 255/40/19 summer tires so my car is a little quicker around town. Also people like to roll race from around 40 here will this help? My car is pretty bolt on as you can see from my Sig. I only plan on adding an aluminum driveshaft in the near future. And maybe years down the road a Paxton. If anyone has a 13 auto and this experience please chime in.

Guys have swapped to 3.73's and 4.10's and saw no gains. The 3.55's will do nothing for you but empty your wallet. The 3.15's when combined with the gearing in the 6R80 come out to a 3.55-3.60 gear depending on tire size. A torque converter is where you want to spend your money.

Yea you have told me that before, Maybe I better listen. The converter will only help me from a dig right, allowing me to launch from a higher RPM? I just remember my first lost in my Mustang, It was to another mustang 2013 GT/CS 6 Speed track pack. He said he was stock and I had FRPP tune and GT500 Axle backs with a drop in filter. We ran a couple pulls from 40-80 and he beat me every time. (For some reason though I think I was running in 3rd and not the start of 2nd. Memory is vague that was when I first got the car back in 2013 and had not really used select **** and didn't know where my gears started and ended.) I will spend the money on a driveshaft, converter, tires then.
I am bringing my car to ford in the morning, I think I blew my Rear end Gasket because my left axle is covered in grease and I heard a clunk earlier that day. (Happened 20,000 miles ago at least that on had a recall)
That's why I was thinking swapping gears while they where there.

A converter will help from a roll as well since the rpm dropoff won't be as bad. It's the best mod you can do for the auto N/A along with a tune.
A driveshaft is also something I would reconsider. Not much gained for the money spent.

Forget the gears, get a Circle D 4C converter and a tune from Mike Rousch at Mid Atlantic Performance https://www.facebook.com/pages/Mid-A...288868?fref=ts . Your car will run 11's with a good tire.
