Default Rear Brakes 06 GT

Hi guys, I just installed new rear Rotors and pads on my 2006 GT.
I used Powerstop drilled and slotted rotors and their evolution ceramic pads.

I rented the special tool from AutoZone for the caliper piston and turned it until it would not turn anymore so I am 99% sure it is fully retracted.

The car feels like it decelerates faster than normal when I let off the gas or is under resistance from the brakes like they may be dragging.

I am getting a burning smell from the pads, but I read on powerstop's website that is
very common and is just the coating on the pads during "break in".

There is a decent amount of heat coming from the rear drivers side as well. And when I removed those old pads they were worn pretty uneven.

What would be causing this resistance/dragging? The rotors? Or the pads?

I do not want to screw up the car or roast the brake components. I have ready many conflicting things about Power Stop and have seen some others with similar issues but no fixes as of yet.

I have read it could be a frozen caliper but I don't want to replace the caliper if it could be something else.

Thanks!

Did you grease the slide pins on the calipers? They could be sticking and that could be the source of the uneven wear, heat, and resistance.

Just jack it back up and spin the wheels. There should be just a slight drag, but wheel should spin pretty easy. If one wheel drags quit a bit then figure out why.

Did you line up the indentation on the piston with the little pin on the back of the inside pad?

This was my first thought as well.
