Possible purchase, thoughts on this GT?
I have been looking for a GT for a month or two, I really want a 2015 GT and all most pulled the trigger on a 15 GT with PP and prem for 28,500 but the wife and I are about to buy a house so I am trying to keep it under 20K.
A good friend of mine runs a large car dealer and will get me a car from the auction at his cost and this GT is coming up in a few days. What are your thought on the car?
I like the color, the mods and the factory Navi. The big thing for me on these is adding a stereo after the fact is expensive and a pain if you have a non navi car (from my reading)
This will be my first Mustang as I've been buying/building/racing imports since I was younger, just looking to try something different.
I think I can get this for around 19K give or take $500.
Mods from auction ad are:
20" wheels with new tires
BOSS Intake Manifold
CAI
Roush Exhaust
Brembo front brakes
Roush suspension

It is about 3-4 hours away so that would be hard to do, I might be able to work something out. The friend that gets cars for me has been doing this for 10+ years he's normally good at pointing things out and picking up on issues.
I have posted in the FL section as that is where this car came from, with the level of mods I wonder is someone will recognize it.
It is very clean, part of what caught my attention.

sweet looking car and things look to have been done right...the fragged 5th gear cluster doesn't bode well, though. On the type generally, the stereo is pretty good on the premium cars with a couple simple speaker upgrades. The nav is great and it comes with tech package that is very cool and has helpful features like code reading/clearing and full bezel diagnostics.

I got burned once w/an auction buy, in FL, none the less. Never again.
It was an '07 Maxima in visually pristine condition w/less than 7k on the odo. Had brand new wheels & tires, looked sharp, ran great initially, & got it a for a pretty good price.
A couple months later my wife complained of the steering pulling to the right. I figured alignment issues & took it to the shop. After some investigation, I discovered the car had been a rental & was involved in an unreported accident, one where the rental company repaired the car themselves. The 2 right side wheels hit a curb at 'XX' MPH, destroying the wheels and tires. Hhmmm, so that's why there were 4 brand new wheels/tires on the car. In the crash the frame was bent over so slightly, one where it could not be straightened. As a result everything in the car was off by a millimeter here & there.
Never could get that damn car properly aligned. Then the squeaks and groans came w/age- absolute hunk of crap car, almost from day one, and the only reason I bought it was because it was the exact car she wanted and I got it for a good deal from a supposedly reputable wholesaler. NEVER AGAIN.
If you're locked in on this car, have a knowledgeable mechanic check it out first. Even then there's no guarantee. Good luck.
