Default I'll be starting to mod a bone stock 2014 GT, automatic.......

to go from 8.30's in the eighth to 7.30's. How would you approach this to reach that goal? I'd prefer to get the highest MPH as possible. The car will also be used occasionally on the street.

Depends on your goals and/or budget. Do you want the cheapest way to get there? Tune, converter, sticky tire and nitrous, 100 shot minimum.

Prefer no nitrous. I just sold my bracket car and want the 2014 to become my NEW bracket car with occasional street use. The track is less than 10 miles from my house so I will be driving the car there. I was reading an article in MM&FF about Hookers blackheart full exhaust system. They claim +35 HP and +23 TQ. My original thought was to add supercharger to bone stock and that should get pretty close to 7.30's. Supercharging is expensive.
What rear control arm changes should be made? What company makes them?
Would a combination of exhaust, gears, tune, converter, CAI, etc get to 7.30s - 7.40's?

Full exhaust, converter, rear suspension, a quality email or custom tune and sticky tires might, with driver mod.

I did 11.91 (about 7.6 at the 1/8th) on a stock MT82 BBP 2012 GT with a full load, on just a sticky tire and a tune. You are talking a quarter equivalent of 6 tenths faster than that and the stock converter will not let that happen. My 2014 auto on a tune alone struggles to get below 12.4X, because of the stock converter.

The mods above won't come cheap though, that's probably around 5K right there for quality stuff + install so, you might want to consider just saving up for the blower and sticky tires. The blower will give you high mph compared to your ET, typically.

Didn't think those mods would cost that much. Maybe the supercharger would be better. In your experience, P51C, would the N/A route be more PREDICTABLE for bracket racing OR the supercharger OR they'll be about the same? Wouldn't an 11.6 get me to a 7.40 or close?
Also, from what I've told, the supercharger will also require a new OIL PUMP to replace the OEM unit. That whole deal sounds like $2000 MORE than the suggestion you made.
BTW, I'm not familiar with the terms MT82 and BBP.

Oh boy, you need to do a bit of research.

Good long tube headers are over $1000, converter 1200, good O/R H or X, 3-500, over axle pipes 2-300, mufflers, 300-1000, custom tune 3-500, sticky tires 500, upper control arm 2-600, lower control arms 200-500, panhard bar 200...all + install.

MT 82 is the model of your manual trans and BBP is Brembo Brake Package.

Predictable depends on the blower chosen. I'd choose a centrifugal setup for that, as it keeps intake air temp more consistent over a positive displacement unit like Roush, VMP or Whipple, plus it torques the driveline less right out of the hole, making traction easier to find.

You don't really need a blower to make this plan happen, however. You don't need to touch the oil pump gears until you are well north of 600 wheel horsepower.

My 2014 auto is point and shoot. It's a stocker with LCA, UCA and panhard, otherwise stock with 100 shot. It'll knock out 11.6 at 120 all day long, or at least until the nitrous gets low. N/A, as it sits, it hovers around 12.4-12.6 at about 113 max. This is on a slick tire that is actually too big for it, left over from my manual car.

Thanks, P51C. The exhaust stuff you outlined is in a completely different $$$$$ UNIVERSE from what I have been doing with a fox body bracket car for many years.
Some questions for you.....
1. at 11.6, what is eighth mile ET and MPH,... if that is given on your time slip.
2. Is panhard bar a must have? Why not just UCA and LCA?
3. Regarding consistency, would those 11.60's be competitive in a footbrake class? OR do they jump from 11.62 on one pass to 11.69 on the next pass?

Yep, you want to go fast on the cheap, Foxbody is still where it is at. OTOH, you have to do A LOT to a fox to get it into the range this thing can do with just a tune.

You don't want to go cheap on exhaust on the S197. The header job is brutal and if you add in fitment issue, yuk.

Panhard is not essential but, is cheap and helps stabilize the car out of the gate and at the top end. adjustable is not needed unless you are lowered. You can also use an adjustable panhard to centre the axle so you can get maximum tire under the fender.

7.5 at 95, not super **** hot but ok.

They could be consistent, yes. Nice thing about nitrous is, as a power adder, as the DA gets worse, temp gets worse, it retains its power delivery, unlike the supercharged cars, that tend to sag.

Thanks, P51C. As I enter the computerized coyote world, I am going to designate you to be my crew chief. LOL
7.5 at 95 is perfect. Just where I'd like to be. So far, based on everything I've read, a ProCharger might be the best option for me. I like the linear nature of centrifugal...... as you've pointed out, it will be softer at launch than a positive displacement supercharger. Thanks again for your help. I'm sure I'll have many other questions in the future.
