thought I'd update this...today I got to talk with my buddy and take a small look at the car...

when I arrived, it had four nearly flat tires and was dirty and dusty from sitting in the garage...it started with a jump and stayed going until put into gear and then died...a new battery will probably be installed tomorrow...

The interior has many of the typical '05 GT faults for it's age but other than being dirty and someone sure liked his armor all it needs a clean up bad...

I checked the oil and it appeared clean, the air filter appeared as new, the power steering fluid had no foul smell and there was no extra noise to the power steering...coolant looked normal and all seemed as it should.

I'll know a bit more tomorrow but my buddy said a lot of old feelings came back when he started it up...you know how that goes but I think we may still strike a deal that works for both of us.

Wish me luck,

Bill

well, I heard from the owner again and he said if his project gets done early enough this weekend he will be headed out for a new battery for the Mustang and then we can go for a ride in it...if everything is agreeable during the test drive and shakedown, we may yet do the deal.

I'll post up when I know something after this weekend...who knows.

Nice. A little TLC and it will probably be like a different car.
