Default Shaker 500 problems

I have had my 05 GT with the Shaker 500 for 4 weeks now and for the last 2 weeks the CD player has not worked. The dealer says it's on back order. The problem I am having is that it will not play the CD's or eject them. I keep getting CD ERROR. It has 6 CDs in it.
Has anyone else been having problems with the Shaker 500????

Good ol' Skipper 500. I had that same problem about 5 months ago but a day later, rather than use the eject, I pressed the load button, and selected a # and it ejected that CD ...I never replaced it and actually have been running with 5 CD's ...only skips about once per week now
Don't know if that will help in your case but can't hurt either.

Gonna take it to the dealer sooner or later (one of my new years resolutions I guess).

The day I traded my '01 F-250 for my '06 GT, all six of my CD's would not eject. In the five years that I owned the truck, it never gave me trouble. Could it have been a sign of things to come?

So far, my Shaker 500 has not failed!

I took delivery on my 2006 Windveil Blue GT about 48 hours ago, and I love it. However, immediately upon listening to the first CD in the Shaker 500 player, I noticed it inserts a gap between songs. No matter what type of media I use, the problem persists. Can anyone help me with this? The dealer mentioned something about text being read off the disk, but I have tried to defeat the text feature without success.

Any help would be appreciated...

Thanks in advance,

J

All I can say is I'm glad I didn't pay extra for a Shaker sound system.

the problem is...u didn't get the Shaker 1000 like i did.

...it only skips when u get to a crucial passage on Books On Tape(CD), then it is very consistent!
