Are there any modifications recommended to be made to a 2008 mustang stock 5-spd transmission prior to adding supercharger? Stock is only good for 360lbs of torq

So my babys an 06 automatic GT bone stock as far as i can tell and I would like to know what DIY mods I should do if I want to squeeze out 300 rwhp. I'm already planning on a CAI and tuner package. I would be interested in stroking my engine up to 5.0 but that's mostly so I could put badges on and not feel lame about it. I'm pretty new to this and I want to hear what people have done and maybe what they would have done if they were to do it again.

Thanks in advance

So if you had about 500-600 bucks on you, what would you guys do to my car. It's pretty much all stock except for some motegi mr116 17" wheels. I was thinking cold air intake and x pipe but idk how much this will boost performance.
+1 on CAI and tune. I've done a few mods but the first, and best $$ value, was this one.

Default My Pony!

I have an 06 auto GT and I am on a small budget. I've added Steeda Underdrive pulleys, Ford Racing spark plugs, spark plug wires, Air Intake manifold, Hot Rod Cams, 4:10 gears, C & L CAI, JBA LTS and O/R X pipe and SCT Flash Tuner with 93 octane tune. At the rear wheels I have 317 HP.

Default Weight Reduction for beginners

Hey everyone from Afghanistan,

I am currently deployed overseas and am 2 months out from finishing up a 12 month deployment. I just bought an 07 GT and this whole deployment i have been planning all sorts of upgrades for a N/A setup, but until recently i haven't given weight reduction much thought. What are some easy ways to knock off some lbs off my stang and how much would it be to have it done at a shop or could i do them myself?

Thanks

Ive done some cosmetic mods on my 07 GT convertible over the past few months such as A lighted styling bar, side scoops, engine bay dress up stuff and a set of take off Bullitt mufflers for a little more sound. In a few hours I wlll be picking up my 07 from Lamotta performance in Longwood FL who is installing chrome valve covers to go with my Brenspeed Detroit Rocker cams and a FRPP CAI with a dyno tune. Also a new set of Brisk 1 piece spark plugs. Cant wait to see the results from these mods. Maybe a set of long tubes next spring.....depends on the cash flow.

Good starter mods in my opinion

Air Intake System, Larger Throttle Body, & New Exhaust Mufflers. Good thing about this car is most of these applications are bolt on and don't require a custom tune. But if you want the full potential out of each part the a custom tune is in your best interest.
