My guess is you would need to be over yhr 500 who mark for a bigger TB to make a difference. The stock one just isn't that restrictive.

Im putting the bbk shorties on this weekend. My automotive apprentiship teacher swears by the bbk headers because of the 3/8 flanges.

Okay, I've read the whole thread....really. So I recently bought an 06GT. I am looking for a little bit more power but I bought a warranty with my new/used car and the dealership said if I did much of anything beyond a CAI they wouldn't cover it. So, it seems that the K&N is the only intake promising more horsepower without needing a reprogramming. Is this true? I read a couple post from K&N owners who said it tripped their dash light. True? What about a Ford Racing intake??

So it looks like CAI, maybe Eibach springs, and exterior cosmetic changes.

Question Question

Just a quick question, Would it make sense to get a CAI and a dyno tune? I mean do you have to be FI just to get a dyno tune or are they worth it on a stock car. It seems that a dyno would be better than a handheld tuner. Thanks for the help

I did a couple of mods like the K&N Cold Air Intake, Magnaflow Cat-Back System and Underdrive Pulleys
Big advocate for reliable resources when I find them, so I’ll share - http://www.restorationperformance.co...ang/Categories

Cheers!!

Default Sticky Tires

Anybody have any suggestions on a sticky street tire 285/40-18 without going to a drag radial? I'm not getting any traction with Goodyear F1 tires.

Talking Basic UpGrades.

Put in a K&N filter; a throttle spacer; a set of hushpower pro series shortie mufflers(axle back) and a Hypertech tune for premium gas; firm shifting and set the shift points to +300 on all shifts with the rev limiter at +500 on all shifts so that the rev limiter stays out of the way.
Next is 3.73 Gears.
I think I am done after the gears but am still wanting MSD coil on plugs; anybody know if MSD cops are a soild upgrade for the long term?
Never got a base line dyno but would I got atleast 13HP for the tune but maybe more like 20HP because I go past redline with the tune and the hypertech chart says 19HP at 6700RPM and mine goes to 6800RPM now; 5HP for the K&N; 5HP for the spacer and say 7HP for the axle back. So in real world results that is about 36RWHP.

So in real world results that is about 36RWHP you're on drugs.

See my comments above in red. I think you need to reboot and start over, dude. And if you're spouting advertised numbers you're more diluted than I thought.
