TOOK DELIVERY OF AN 06 PREMIUM YELLOW GT ON LABOR DAY WEEKEND. I HAD BEEN WANTING THIS BODY STYLE SINCE THE PROTOTYPE CAME OUT IN 04. COULD NOT JUSTIFY TO MY WIFE THAT WE SHOULD GET IT. BUT WITH THE 0% DEAL AND MY FRIEND WANTING TO GET ONE AS WELL AND ALSO IN THE SAME BOAT AS ME, WE WENT AND GRABBED THE LAST 2 STICK GT'S LEFT IN SOCAL. THIS IS MY THIRD MUSTANG, '67, '90, '06. MY 2 SONS (3 & 5) JUST ABOUT WANT TO SLEEP IN IT, AND HONESTLY I WOULDN'T MIND EITHER. MY BUDDY AND I HAVE LOTS OF PLANS TO UPGRADE BUT WE HAVE TO BE CAREFUL ON OUR SPENDING. WE HAVE BOTH PUT JBA AXLE-BACKS AND 07 INTAKE COVERS AND I JUST PUT 20 X 8.5 AND 20 X 10.5 BLCK FACE MESH WHEELS WITH POLISHED LIPS, SITTING ON 255 AND 285 FALKEN GRB TIRES. ACTUALLY I NEED TO GET RID OF THEM AFTER HAVING THEM FOR A WEEK. WIFE IS REALLY PISSED OFF, SAYING THAT THIS IS THE REASIN WHT SHE DID NOT WANT ME GETTING THIS CAR. ANYWAY, I AM LOVING EVERY MINUT OF IT AND I AM GETTING ADDICTED TO THIS SITE ALSO.[IMG][/IMG]

Well... here she is.... FUN TO DRIVE is an understatement.... I LOVE IT! I've been driving "practical" cars for too long.... The only thing missing is the high beam on the floor.... ha ha....

Just took delivery yesterday of my DREAM CAR: a brand new 2007 Tungsten gray GT Deluxe.
All I can say is: what a BEAUTY, and what a FABULOUS ride!!!!!!
Until yesterday I hated to drive because of constant aggravation from so many lousy drivers in my area (South Jersey)- where there are loads of senior developments, and most people regularly go UNDER the posted speed limit, seldom use their turn signals (or else use the wrong one!), start braking whenever they see a GREEN light (cause it just..might..turn red before they get there), lurk by an intersection forEVER then pull out RIGHT in front of me at the very last possible SECOND while accelerating (if that's the right word) slower than a three-toed sloth, weaving across the center line or onto the shoulder because they're overmedicated, or their cataract glasses are fogged up, etc., etc.
anyway, I think you get my drift........
But these past 2 days I've been trying to find excuses to get behind the wheel, and when I do I probably look like a idiot with a grin plastered on my face from ear to ear!
The grin starts the minute I turn the ignition key and hear that magnificent RUMBLE, and doesn't fade until I shut it off again (actually- it still lingers for about 10 minutes or so.....).
My wife loves it too, and this afternoon when I punched it to pass a guy (doing 36 in a 50 zone!), we both started laughing like kids at the power surge.
WHAT A MACHINE ! No WONDER you folks are all so enthusiastic about this ride....;->

Yeah, not too much we can do about all those incompetent drivers except pass them at the first opportunity.
Then again, a few minutes later we're stuck behind the next one- you just can't win......;-(
Hey, just be glad you don't live in Whiting, NJ like me (which I refer to as "the land of the living dead" because the average age appears to be around 107)- home to the worst drivers I've ever seen in my life (including South Florida!).
