what short shifter?

RE: what short shifter?
Here's the facts on shifters...
I have personally had the Tri Ax and the Hurst on my 05 and now have the pro 5.0 - The Tri-ax is well built but the shifts are a little too tight and the adjustablity on them is too limited. The Hurst has no adjustability at all and is identical looking to your stock one. The throw is much more decreased with the hurst (40%) but other than that, it is the same darn shifter as what is in your car now. They are identical construction and build wise. The Tri-ax is well built but not as well built as the pro 5.0 - I was amazed at the construction of it as soon as I took it out of the box. I have attached a couple pics from right before install and a pic of the hurst shifter for your compare. The throw is only reduced about 20% but it shifts like butter and you couldn't miss 3rd if you tried. The only cons were it is a little stiff in 5th and reverse but the gears that matter (1st-4th) are magnificent. I'm not bashing hurst, it's not that bad of a shifter for regular street driving, but for the money you would expect to get something a little better constructed than your stock one IMO.

RE: what short shifter?
that saleen short shifter looks to good to be true. I am wondering if it really is a level up as far as missed shifts are concerned.
if anyone could confirm they see an increase in shifting capabilites it'd be great

RE: what short shifter?
I don't know how the Saleen compares to anything but the stock shifter, but I think it works great. The throw is nice and short and i haven't yet missed a shift, it feels good. it's only $30 so if you want to upgrade again down the road your're not out a whole lot of cash.

do you feel the throw is really much shorter @ 25% - at least to be felt right away. ex.: If i'd drive your car my reaction will be instantaneous?)
Lastly does it include saleen's shift **** if so is there a pic online?
