Pneumatic props = too much weight. The car is fat enough already. Removing the hood latch and replacing with duct tape is much better.

Good idea! That would give me some bragging rights at the cruise nights!

lolz - you guys are cracking me up.

The article just published about Ford preparing to do further development on the 5.2 liter engine has me very excited because I'm roughly a year away from being in a position to place an order on one. On the other hand maybe I'll get lucky and scoop up some rich *****-bag's cast off whenever something 'better' comes along for 'cheap'.

As for the whole modded GT versus a GT350 - I believe in the power of "AND" so my goal is to have both. I agree with Cruzinaround that these cars are likely to be collectors items in the future which is one reason why I'm not going nuts modding my GT (I can return it to stock easily enough) and the GT350R won't be touched.

Anyway - it's good to have goals otherwise I'd quit a few of my jobs and just live in an RV at the track. Just need enough money for dog food, rib eyes and fresh tires for the bikes.

The 350 is a way better daily driver than my modded 2004 GTO was and more comfortable too.

My goal .... Keep the GT 5.0 S197 for the project vehicle and any mods happen there.

The GT350 ... will remain mostly stock except for...

Dark ...dark tint. .... Really dark, ominous tint. Additional Forged Wheels and tires. Catch cans, R-Wing, R-Splitter. Cat Delete. Dyno tune. Just enough to set it apart but not enough to kill its identity as a GT350.

Extra wheels would be nice. In the car oriented So-Cal culture, smog ****'s lurk everywhere and dark tint is a definite no-no. Even catch cans are technically illegal.

@barstowpo - Texas will welcome you with open arms (and a much lower cost of living so more $$ for fun). Just remember what people voted for in California and don't repeat it here please.

At least until the air gets so bad in Texas cities your eyes water like in the late 70's in Los Angeles before the maligned "air pollution" regulations! Take a look a Beijing China today! Not fun driving a Mustang with a gas mask on! You can run 670 HP legally with a Mustang in Calif. Good enough for me! Texas is always a few decades behind! They even fell for Ted Cruz! LOL! Just kidding Y'all! Don't bust a blood vessel!
