2003 saleen with cobra svt tank with ford gt pumps
i need some help. i have a 2003 mustang saleen with cobra tank with ford gt supercar pumps & fpdm stage 1 upgrade. i had the pumps installed by a local shop called eld performance here in maryland. i only drive the car on weekends so this problem has covered 2 yrs. after the first install of the set up, i had one pump stop working after about 3000-4000 miles. the pumps are wired in series so it was the first pump. so i ordered another pump from lethal and had that installed again by same shop. now once again the same pump has stopped working. it's about the same mileage i think. have you heard of any problem like this before? i had upgraded fuel pump before i changed tanks with out any problems. before i waste any more money on pumps and installations i want to have this problem solved.
Thanks

I'm sorry to hear about the issue you're experiencing. It's not normal for a pump to go out like that. It could be a wiring issue with a bad ground or pinched wire that's causing it but that still shouldn't burn the pump out. I'd suggest going over all of the wiring from the FPDM to the pumps and make sure nothing is damaged. Even better would be to ditch that returnless setup and go with the budget return setup we now offer and you'll get rid of the FPDM and stock electronics.
Please let me know if you have any other questions and sorry for the long delay in responding.
