East bank here and Sport car club of America ( SCCA ) Delta region board member. We hold monthly autocross races and have a growing mustang group racing with us. If you would like to check us out follow us on facebook at Delta region SCCA. Its a fun amateur sport aimed at road racing not so much 1/4 mile.
But i agreed the LA mustang owners are not grouped well here. But your car nuts are but not so much on forums. There is a up and coming car show / meet for all cars at the lake front 4/27 sunday 2014. The drifting world down here is getting big with Nola motor sports and belle rose park.
heres a video to one of our big autocross events last year, got a few of our louisiana mustang autocrossers in it including me as well hitting a cone ;-)

Central Louisiana BRAND NEW member checking in. I've been a part of the Car/Truck scene for quite a few years. Just recently got my first Stang however, would love to get with folks etc. If I can I will get a list of the most recently coming car/truck shows within the state for you guys. Would like to meet up with some Cenla folks or others who would be willing to travel up this way for a meet.

If you wanna get into autocross Delta region scca is holding an event this mouth at Nola motor sports. We have a growing Mustang crowd. Some of these mustang can hang with the lighter cars on a autocross course. Fun way to learn how to drive the heavyer weight of these cars. Fun crowd overall as well.

:-) If ya can't we hold monthy events. We're going to have a mirrorkhana event later in the year, close to a scca solopro event or gymkhana seen on xgames. Its a closed loop autocross course where each car starts off at the fair ends of the course and tries to beat the other person back to their own starter point. Starts from a drop of a flag and you can call out links and bs each other. Fun as hell. Last mirriorkhana event I took out my rallycross car, able to bs alot with it :-). Heres a video of one of my runs , give ya an idea of the way the event works.
