Well, some of ya'll have heard me say my bud will be doing a MAJOR conversion on his Comp Orange 04 Mach 1. Here are the preliminary specs:

Fully built, balanced, blue-printed 408 Winsor
Forged 13.0:1 compression pistons]
Forged I-beam billet rods
Forged Crank
Demon 950 carb
Full MSD ignition with Magneto
Kook's 1 7/8 primary longtubes with 3" collectors
3" exhaust with Dynomax 3" Race Bullet mufflers
Griffin radiator
Detroit Locker with 4.10's
31 spline Moser Axles
Custom 4 link rear suspension with mini tubs
Built AODE with 4K stall and trans-brake
UPR chromemoly tubular k-member with tubular front control arms
UPR coil overs with QA1 adj front struts
Manual Aerospace billet front/rear brakes
Flaming River manual rack and pinion
Custom 10 point basket cage and custom rear seat delete
Aeromotive fuel system with 10 gallon aluminum fuel cell

I am sure the list will grow quite abit, but here's where we are at right now. It's gonna be SICK.

I'd never do it to a mach 1...but it will be pretty awesome nonetheless. Should be a pretty unique (and fast) car!

InDEED. I would find different source material, like a sixer or something and then butcher that. Is he going to keep the shaker functional?

So with the 408 Windsor I'm guessing it is going to be a push rod motor now? Or is there a 408 with over head cams? That would be sweet if there was.

Probably a pushrod windsor stroker by the sounds of it. BTW...I happen to have a 351W shortblock taking up space in the shop if he needs a donor block

I feel the exact same way I would rather see it done to something else, but all that aside.....this car is going to be SICK!
