18x9" Mach 1's with 1" wheel spacer?
How do you all think that would look. I found an amazing deal on some of these. It was practically godsent because I was just about to buy some new tires and found this deal on some 18x9" Mach 1 wheels with the black inserts with 275 tires all around!!

I would just wait and get something different. You could just get a spacer for your rears and then run 275's if you wanted. 18" rubber is going to be pretty expensive just to have stock looking wheels.

This deal is $500 [8D]
I really do like the stock look and I NEED tires. They are at the lines of death. So I figure, why spend $500 on some new tires when I can spend $500 and wheels AND tires. Plus tires seem to be expensive for 275's regardless of them being 17" or 18". Actually I lied 275's for 17" are way different than 275's for 18". Well we'll see. I'll be meeting him tomorrow to take a look. They're on a TR Mach too so that will help. But yeah $500!!
When money permits, I would love to go with some 17x9 and 17x10.5 Mach 1 wheels with the black inserts in them. I think the black inserts REALLY clean them up. Helps them mesh with the car much better.
But for now this is basically the look I'm going for (minus the deep dish for now)...

I lied. I'll just buy myself a set of Riken Raptors for $475 [8D]I've heard great things about their tires... it's sort of like a little underground mustang secret. Super-walmart-inexpensive tires that are actually good!

I like the idea of keeping the stock mach look. Since it is a mach, you don't want to mess with appearance stuff too much or people will think your a GT w/ram air most likely(probably even a couple mustang enthusiasts). Good Luck! And these Riken Raptors, are they actually good or good hookingfor a beater/all seasontire? Would you compare there hooking abilities to Nitto's, Pirelli's, or I doubt BFG DR.

Well first off... I met the guy with the wheels/tires and they looked AMAZING!!! 18" wheels look so much better than the 17's + the 275's all around really added some beefiness too it. $500... I'm taking them. They should be in my possession within a week to 2 weeks.
I, too, like the stock look but wanted a hint of spice to it. The stock wheels are too bland looking. The black inserts on these 18's look absolutely amazing. The tires look wicked too.
The Rikens are supposidly better than Pirelli's, according to alot of the s197 guys, and are also called Michillin Pilots in disguise. I was told the hook VERY well for the price. Considering Riken is made by Michillin, you can bet they are good.

300 treadwear... wouldn't know what that compares to (Michillin or BFG)
