Default Quieting Down Our Interior

I am looking for a winter project that I can do once the snow hits and I was thinking about trying to quiet down my interior. I know its a muscle car and its part of the driving experience...but being that I drive my car daily and sometimes it is just to loud (also considering that I plan on adding an exhaust this winter and the last thing i want is for it to drone).

Have any of you guys added dynamat or any other form of sound deadening to your interior? Results? Dynamat is pretty expensive and i would like to be sure that it will quiet down my interior significantly before making that kind of investment.

I appreciate any help you guys can offer! =]

pics for clicks.

my buddy has it on his cobra seems to help the rattles but as far as noise goes its still loud in there but he does have a rediculiously loud exhaust set up so that might be his problem lol but on a side note i want your dog im going to steal it

hahaha, she's a terror lately, still in that puppy stage =P

i'm just debating on whether or not it is worth it to totally tear my interior apart...i'm sure i will end up doing it because how could it hurt ya know...

I've often though about putting an extra layer of carpet down to quiet it down a little and to protect the factory carpet at the same time. Wouldn't silence the noise, but I'm sure it would help a little bit.

I've heard that dynamat helps a little, but may not be worth the effort

My buddy did it on his cobra. IMO and his we didn't notice a difference at all. It was still loud. People usually use dynamat for sound system to keep the sound in the car and prevent the rattle.

Default Dynomat

I did it last winter. I used three bulk boxs. If you search on line you can find a bulk pack for about 120$. I noticed a big difference. I had that 2k drone and it cut it down considerably. I ended up doing the entire trunk, floor pans, under the back seat, trans tunnel and inside of doors and back seat panels. Yes it can be costly and yes it adds some weight but if you drive it everday it is well worth it.
