Default High RPM misfire.

I don't know whats going on, but my car has started popping and cracking at high rpms. Like 6600-6800, but it doesn't do it all the time. The check engine light is on because of some blow by, but it has been on way before it started doing this. The car has 85xxx miles on it. Any advice?

Dang, well thanks man. I have heard of misfires in the mach's before, but they said the check engine light would flash. Mine doesn't. I'm gonna change the plugs to some NGK iridiom's today and see if it helps. If not, i'll be back! lol

Default High RPM Misfire

My Check Engine Light flashes to indicate a misfire sometimes if I let the RPMs get up around 6500, so I just keep it under 6000.

I have about 106K on the clock and she has been very well taken care of.

Is this under a load (acceleration) the engine is having issues or if you sit idle and just rev it up?

Does the Battery light blink at the same time you notice the misfire?

Its just when its under load. I can be sitting and rev it and it does fine. It will studder for a second sometimes if i lay into it in 4th doing around 70ish. I haven't noticed the battery light blinking when it does it. Now that i think about it, the idle doesn't seem as smooth as it used to be.
